What does it do?
It tells steam that you currently play those games which will increase your "hours on record" on your profile. The picture Below is an example.
Why do I need more hours on record?
It can be useful for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive cheating/smurf accounts. More hours on record will make you more "legit".
What Server is needed?
You need a Linux VPS with around 250 MB Ram (usually the smallest you can get) and you need Linux 14.04 - 16.04 to be installed.
You Can purchase a VPS server with only 1.49$ per month :)
How do I install this script? Open Putty and connect to your server. Now enter the following commands. 1. apt-get update 2. apt-get upgrade -y 3. apt-get install curl 4. apt-get install nano 5. curl -L http://git.io/hQD9 | sh
Source of the script:
# Install steamboosthours script on debian or ubuntu server
# requires root
if [[ "$USER" != 'root' ]]; then
echo "Sorry, you need to run this as as root"
apt-get update apt-get upgrade -y apt-get install -y git wget tar build-essential libssl-dev
# Install iojs
tar --strip-components 1 -xzvf iojs-v* -C /usr/local
# Clone steamboosthours repository

npm install -g coffee-script forever
echo "~ Installation finished ~"
echo "Run 'coffee users.coffee' to add accounts"
echo "Run 'forever start -c coffee boost.coffee' to start boosting"
How do I start/stop/restart the script?
Note: Always enter "cd /root/steamboosthours/" first to get into the folder
Start the script: forever start -c coffee boost.coffee
Stop the script: forever stopall
Restart the script: forever restartall
Or you can easily use "screen"
Start the script: screen node -c coffee boost.coffe or screen node boost.coffe
Stop the script: CTRL + C
Restart the script: screen restart / reload
How do I add a new steamaccount?
First, You need to connect in your VPS's FTP By Using "FileZilla" or "WinSCP"...
Hostname: IP Of your VPS (Example: 22.214.171.124)
Port: 21 or 2222
Password: ur vps Password
Or Via Putty's Commands:
Aswell firstly go to your steamhourboost directory (cd /root/steamboosthours/) and enter "coffee users.coffee" to add an account. -> Rest gets self-explained...
Your account is able to idle online and offline!
If you installed the script as mentioned above, your account will idle offline. Offline means that nobody of your friends will see that you're playing those games. The hours are the only noticeable thing if you boost offline. If you want to idle online (your friend will see "Ridicc - Currently ingame - playing ...") just open the boost.coffee file with an usual editor like node and search for "...Steam.EPersonaState.Offline" and change the ".Offline" to ".Online".
